Why I like living downtown.

The other day, I saw a ten wheeler do a u-turn in the laurier intersection just out side of mackenzie king brige! It was so awsome. All pedestrians stopped to watch.

A couple days ago, I saw a sk8ter [do they still type it this way, i'm getting too old to be cool any longer] at the top of a steep hill, and a rap at the bottom. his friends were recording his attempts to guide a 25 year old t.v. down to the ramp so that it would go up in the air and smash on the ground. the t.v. was sooooo old. like the ones that are incased in wood. becasue the tv was so big, he had to guide it down the hill, with tv on one skateboads and him on the other. i swear that he was going to kill himself because it was the middle of the day and cars were coming from all directions. The intersection is not four way stop, so that as he comes down the hill a car could smash right into him. My neighbours and I watched as he failed each time. the momentum was not enough, b/c he was having to guide it. i was going to suggest that he just use the two skateboards for the tv, and hope it goes to the ramp, but he ended up breaking one.

I WANT IT!

Yesterday, my roommate and I were browsing freecycle and found a fake fire place which transforms into a turn table and a dry bar! I want it so bad. He still hasn't replied our email. So hopefully I will soon be owning a turntable-fireplace-bar.

Blast from the Past

Since I dont have the Interenet at home it's quite hard for me to avoid doing homework. But yesterday my dad dropped off some floppy disks from my childhood. The computers were much slower back then and now some games are impossible to play because now they go a super speed-much faster than reaction time!

Another funny thing is that the games are like 1200 KB! hahaha. the simple slide show my prof offers for class is at least 8000 KB. It funny how quickly the computers have evolved. I mean we all know this, but actually experiencing the games that were the SHIT back then are now, actual shit, lol.

does any one use the term shareware any more?
does your computer game ask you to choose whether you have a monocrome screen or a colour screen?

oh, the times of yore.

Turn on the light

This morning I woke up from a dream that was terribly hard to break out of.
In my dream, I had slept the whole day away and outside was dark again. I wanted to know the time but could not find my phone, and my clock was unreliable (as mentioned in previous post). I made my way accross the room to turn on the light. But when I turned it on, my eyes immidiately closed and I just couldn't open them. Then I realized that I also couldn't move. No matter what I just couldn't open them. I tried damn hard and i just couldn't do it! Then I tried so hard to open my eyes, and it pulled me right out of my dream and i opend my eyes in waking life. When I did this, I woke up from the dream to find it day light and 8:30 am.

So, I guess I wasn't able to change the light in my dream. Or at least assuming my lamp had turned on, I wasn't able to observe it because my eyes were force shut. I still didn't light a candle yet. And that is my mission, i will try again tonight.

Waking Life

Have you seen the movie waking life?

In the movie they talk about how to tell when you are in a dream. One method is to adjust light level. In a dream, you cant change light level, so the movie says.
In the movie the boy keeps looking at time and the digital lights on the clock shift, so that it is impossible to tell what time it is.

Last night, my clock must have broke a little because when i look at the time i couldn't tell what time it was. the first digit after the colon was messed up, so that 11:06 looks like 11:86 and other numbers where messed too. for example, if it was 11:19 the 1 after the colon would have a middle line, like a three. so, is seemed like some lights had burned out. was it 11:49 or 11:39? both were wrong.

any ways, i turned off a light and lite a candle. so i'm glad to inform you that my clock is meerly cheep.

task: tonight make an effort to light a candle in your dream. can you light it? does the light level change? try to remember in the morning. a tip to remembering dreams. when you wake up don't move until you've thought about what happened in your dream, moving stops you from remembering.
